Feed Your Skin: Watercress

There is a reason that people have been munching on Watercress longer than any other leafy green - it is great for you! This salad topper has a mild peppery bite and is chock full of iron, calcium and folic acid. However, this semi-aquatic plant does not just fuel your body, it can actually help fight blemishes and redness in your skin. It has long been hailed as a complexion cure, helping to purify toxins in the blood and support healthy cell growth. In addition to eating watercress, the juice from the leaves can be applied topically to help clear the skin of blemishes. For a quick DIY toner - mix 4 tabelspoons of watercress juice with 1 tablespoon of honey, shake to mix and apply with a cotton ball to the face and neck!
