Why Under Eye Skin is So Special

Most of us know that under-eye skin requires more care than most other places, but why is that? Today, I'd like to take a few moments to clear up some questions that may exist on the subject.

First and foremest, the skin under your eyes must endure more than its share of stress as a result of frequent eye movements and squinting. Couple this with the fact that under-eye skin is rather thin and more sensitive than the skin in other areas, and you've got a recipe for rapid aging. Furthermore, while the skin around the cheeks and nose has particularly active sebaceous gland which ensure that it stays sufficiently hydrated, the skin around the eyes has virtually no active sebaceous glands. This makes it prone to persistent dryness, which further enhances the potential for rapid premature aging.
