So, we here at the Erno Laszlo office received a shipment of Angel of Beauty temporary tattoos last week, and decided to have some fun. We all put one on, and took some pictures. I, of course, decided to put one of them on my face... I look quite silly if I do say so myself, but hey it's worth it! I'm happy to say that the trend is continuing! Others from our office have wondered down to our area hoping to take a picture as well! Here are ours, the other will be coming soon!!

Hope you find this as amusing as we did!

Ingredient Spotlight - Vitamin C

Hey all!!

If you're anything like me, you've known about vitamin C for most of your life; I know I associate it with things such as the absolute deliciousness that is orange juice (thanks to the miraculous job those PR people have done over at Tropicana, etc!). You've probably also known about how beneficial it is to your immune system. However, until much later on in life, most of us do not realize that vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients in the realm of skin care. It's myriad benefits include:

  1. moisturizes skin, making it smooth and soft
  2. exfoliates and cleanses, helping to remove dead skin cells and expose the healthy skin below
  3. removes wrinkles
  4. and, the biggie, helps to encourage the growth of collagen.
Collagen, of course, is what provides your skin its structure and strength. As our bodies age, we naturally produce a good deal less of it, and wrinkles begin to appear on the skin. Stimulating the growth of collagen helps to reverse this process, if only temporarily! Other benefits include acting as an antioxidant, helping to combat free radicals and other oxidants.

However, not is all so peachy with vitamin C. It turns out that it is frustratingly unstable and, when mixed with water (or just given enough time to hang around), it oxidizes and retains none of the beneficial qualities that make it desirable. To ensure that topical products touting its merits actually work, just be mindful of your expiration dates.

Also, many manufacturers have decided to jump on the vitamin C bandwagon, advertising their products in such a way as to take advantage of the hype surrounding it while not including enough of an active ingredient to make it useful. So, be sure you trust your manufacturer! (*Wink wink*)

Happy Monday all! I'll talk to you soon!

Best,

Randy

Super Cool Press

So, it's always exciting when we get our products featured in super cool magazines, and earlier this week we learned we got an editorial in this month's issue of Town & Country! The magazine featured the Laszlo Blue Firmarine SPF 30 and it's nutritional benefits! I know I sent them a Laszlo Blue Firmarine Treatment Bar not too long ago, and I'm crossing my fingers that we receive a feature for that as well! Check it out:

If you haven't tried this product yet, I highly recommend that you do so (if you have slightly dry to slightly oily skin, that is)! Just like the Treatment Bar, Laszlo Blue Firmarine SPF 30 features the key ingredient Spirulina Maxima, which I know I've been talking quite a bit about. But it's just that good! Over 70 nutrients help to nourish and firm your skin, helping your skin to achieve it's highest potential.

Anyway, if any of you have tried it and want to leave some feedback here (of wherever!), we'd love to hear it! I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll talk to everyone soon!

My experience with the new Laszlo Blue Firmarine Treatment Bar!

My name is Randy, and I’m the new member of the Marketing team here at Erno Laszlo. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to try the new Laszlo Blue Firmarine Treatment Bar, and I’d like to describe for you my first experience with it:

The Laszlo Blue Firmarine Treatment Bar. I’ll admit I liked it right away just because it is a pretty blue color. But that should be the least of your concerns when trying this one! It features a dual phase delivery of encapsulated Spirulina Maxima – a freshwater blue-green algae that has over 70 skin-loving nutrients to help your skin retain moisture and become firmer. As you lather the soap, some of the encapsulated Spirulina Maxima is released by heat and/or pressure, while the rest is absorbed deep into your skin to continue enriching your skin long after cleansing has ceased.

Anyway, I used it to wash my face before bed. Perhaps it was my imagination due to the fact that I knew about the Spirulinas already, but I could have sworn that I felt a wonderfully tingly sensation as I spread the lather over my skin. The next thing I noticed about it was that it smells just great! Also, when I washed it off, I thought I noticed my skin looking brighter, and my roommates agreed. Even two hours later (OK, I procrastinated about going to bed..) my skin felt about 200% softer!

I’m definitely going to be using this product for as long as I can find it in stores near me! If you want to try it out for yourself, it comes out in March! Or, if you happen to be reading this before February 15, upload a video to our Facebook Fanpage explaining why you’d like to try the bar! The first five to do so will receive the full-sized product free!

Key Factor in Aging

While it’s true that some people have naturally amazing looking skin until they’re well into their middle age, some of us aren’t quite that lucky. Here are the keys to looking young, and the product you can use to get there!

One of the most important aspects of a youthful appearance is have clear skin. Skin that is freckled, damaged by excessive sun exposure, or shows sunspots can even make you appear years old than you actually are. Thus, we recommend using Total Face & Body Protection SPF 30 to protect your skin and keep texture even.

Also, bags and dark circles under the eyes can make a person look tired, stressed, and aged. To avoid such issues, we recommend our Antioxidant Complex for Eyes.

Finally, avoiding sagging skin is key. Doing so will help your face to look full and defined, as well as preventing folds, lines, and wrinkles from being given the opportunity to form. Use Laszlo Blue Firmarine SPF 30 with Spirulina Maxima to deliver over 70 essential nutrients to your skin, keeping it as firm as can be!

Of course, these products will be less effective without being used in synergy with exercise and a proper diet. However, I’m wondering what all of you do to keep yourselves young. What are your little secrets that perhaps we can all learn a thing from???
