Spa Day at Bergdorf Goodman

This week, I was lucky enough to have the chance to visit our spa at Bergdorf Goodman for a facial, and I could not wait to share the experience with all of you! The treatment room is located on Bergdorf's luxurious beauty level, a pristine shrine to everything beauty.

When I arrived at the Erno Laszlo counter, I was instantly greeted and welcomed to sit. I then had a personal one on one consultation with my Laszlo specialist to get a better understanding of my skin. After a few questions, I was diagnosed as "a classic 12 o'clock", meaning Normal /Combination skin: a pretty balanced complexion with a few sporadic breakouts and some seasonal dryness in certain areas.

Next, we walked through my ritual. I was explained how each product should be used and how it would benefit my skin specifically. It was amazing to have such personal attention paid to my skin and have an expert share knowledge so that I left feeling confident and informed. It is amazing how much I did not know about my own skin or how what I thought I knew was not necessarily the case!

Finally, I was whisked off into the serene spa room, where I was met with a peaceful oasis from my busy New York day. I slipped into my robe and headband and laid down for an hour of skin transforming magic. The treatment started with a hand massage with our Gentle Body Exfoliator to shed any dead skin cells and followed with them being coated in Timeless Body and placed in heated gloves for additional absorption and hydration.

My face was cleansed, toned and moisturized in every way possible with all of the ingredients that were previously explained in my ritual, along with some extra care elements that pertained to my concerns. I was told that I could do the same at home and then just jump in the shower to benefit from the steam, and wash off before getting out. A quick and easy mini facial at home! After the treatment, the lesson continued as I was able to ask any questions I had about my skin or products in general and the knowledgeable staff spent another 30 minutes answering every single one of them.

Chiseled Cheek Check List

Ah, the chiseled cheekbone, synonymous with A-list movie stars, super models and the generally beautiful people. However, mother nature is not always as genetically generous to every gal and therefore we have compiled a couple of tricks to transform your cheeks to a higher level.

Step 1: Firm
Create a strong base for your work by using a firming moisturizer to lift sagging skin - which will help to create a cleaner, more prominent jaw line.

Step 2: Erase
Fine lines around the eyes and mouth can also make your face appear to droop and take away from your natural facial structure. So fill in those fine lines and wrinkles with a concentrated line plumper.

Step 3: Define
Finally, work some makeup magic. You will need a bronzer, a rosy blush, and a highlighter. Put on your best sour pucker face and dab the bronzer into the hollow.
