New Year, New Skincare Closet!

It's the beginning of a new year, so it's a good time to get rid of all those skincare products you don't use, and make sure that the products you are using are still good!

If you're like me, you have lots and lots of skincare goodies, but only actually use a handful of them. Take some time to go through your stash and sort out the good from the bad, the used from the unused.

Unlike many makeup products, skincare products such as soaps, creams, masks, and exfoliators can last up to several years. To tell if your product has gone bad, check to see if there is any discoloration or unusual scent. If it looks and smells good, it probably is.

To start, put aside all of those products that you use on a regular basis. Then, pick out the products that you use occasionally and put them in a separate pile. You should be left with products you realize you never use...maybe you received them as gifts and felt guilty throwing them away, or bought them to try out but never did...whatever the case, it's time to let them go.

New Year's Eve Celebrations

The New Year is fast approaching. How will you be celebrating on December 31st?

Host a New Years Eve bash! For those of you with extensive social networks (and the space to accommodate large numbers of people), it's the perfect time to bring everyone together for one last hoorah. Feel free to don party hats and noise-makers, provide lots of Champagne, sparkling wine, and cider, and make sure to count down to the New Year!

Or...

Host an intimate gathering! It's the time to bring together close friends and family to enjoy each others company and celebrate the coming of the New Year. With a smaller number of people, you'll be able to reconnect with your guests, and providing yummy snacks and drinks won't break the bank!

Or...

Attend a New Years Eve party! You'll have all the fun, without the mess and stress of hosting it yourself!

Or...

Attend a fireworks show! It's a New Years Eve tradition around the world, so finding a display near your town or city should be easy. Bring close friends, family, and loved ones, and despite the cold (depending on where you live) it's sure to be a good night for all!

There are many ways to celebrate 2009 and ring in the new year, but as long as you are surrounded by good company you are sure to have a very memorable night!
